Objectives of this registration Because our
courses are taught primarily through the N.C. Community college system, we are
required by community colleges to have a minimum of 15 students to run the
class.
Because we have
experienced a higher than normal rate of students cancelling their registrations
hours or days prior to the start of class. This has resulted in the cancellation
of classes and the re-scheduling of courses.
Last minute
registration and/or student absenteeism has made it nearly impossible for us to
adequately prepare student materials and other logistical demands. This has
impacted our ability to provide for a positive learning experience. Therefore,
in 2009 we will be instituting a new registration process.
Past
pre-registration practices have become problematic and will now require a financial
non-refundable deposit of 1/2 the course cost must be received before being accepted into the course.
The
practice of invoicing agencies or departments will be required and payment shall
be received in full prior to the established deadline.
