What
is Go-FIRST?
The Global Online First Responder Student
Training Foundation is developed and directed by a global team of public
safety and education leaders dedicated to preparing young people for the Mission
of Life by connecting, inspiring and energizing them with the values, skills,
sciences, technologies and sports of First Responders around the world. Our
national governing council members and program mentors are public safety and
education leaders throughout the United States, Mexico, Chile and New Zealand.

Our
programs help kids grow up safe, strong and smart – and ready to lead and serve.
We developed GO-FIRST in the wake of September 11th , 2001, to build upon the
public’s renewed respect for First Responders as important role models.
We bring together students and First Responder mentors from multiple disciplines
and duty stations in special “camps” that combine hands-on training in safety,
health and security with character, career and service learning.
Our
philosophy is “Education through Perspiration.”
Our international camps and missions are developed upon the most popular
“hand’s-on” adventure learning programs in public safety, health and fitness:
Our
camps offer kids from the ages of 8 to18 learn “Life Lessons” in multiple
disciplines of emergency services including:
Fire
& EMS Service
Technical Urban Search and Rescue
Law
Enforcement
U.S.
Coast Guard
National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS)
Forestry Services
United States Armed Forces
Trauma Centers
Relief Programs (Project Hope)
Many of our mentors from these organizations, in addition to, being exemplary
role models, also serve as top instructors within their school systems or serve
as senior training officers in their respective agencies.
Borrowing
the best from this platform, we combine services spanning the world and all
terrains to deliver a high energy, global action-classroom program, integrating
onsite and online educational units in the Big 5 Curriculum of Rescue, Safety,
Health, Service and the Environment.
GO-FIRST’s learning strategies encourage students to discover both the adventure
learning and life-and-death problem-solving values of these scientific
disciplines and high-tech tools.
